The Danger of Synchronicity is a collective performance that incorporates the National Gymnastics Exercises of Japan and South Korea, assembling movements into a distinct set of choreographies. These range from simple actions, such as tilting one’s neck from left to right, to more complex movements involving multiple body parts.

During the performance, each participant is assigned a square in which to perform and follows instructions from a pre-recorded video displayed on a screen. The video is divided into four consecutive chapters: a meditation session, an exercise session, a poetry recitation, and a questionnaire. The performance explores the relationship between the individual body and the collective by mobilizing the group through exercise.
